Can I use IM608/IM508 without renewal/subscription?

Yes. But no online functions. that is, it does most stuff, except anything to do with online calculations. You need your machine (autel im508 or im608) with renewal and use it with the xp400 for the online calculations. if you have an additional tool with cheap renewal.
